- After opening the combination lock, please scramble the combination to avoid divulging it to non-members.
- Reservations are not required although we ask that during busy times, you not occupy the court for more than an hour at a time to allow everyone a chance to play.
- The practice board is to be used only if nobody wishes to play on that court.
- Volunteers are needed to sweep the courts. We will leave a broom and squeegee and would appreciate a quick sweep if conditions warrant it.
Please report any damage or maintenance items per email to tennis@CumberlandLions.ca.
The courts belong to the City of Ottawa. The Cumberland Lions Club has an agreement with the city to ensure controlled access thereby reducing the occurence of vandalism, and should vandalism occur or other maintenance be required, the club ensures that prompt attention is given to any necessary repairs.
As members have expressed an interest in tennis instruction, we are always on the lookout for qualified instructors who can help our players enjoy the game even more. If you've given classes before or are simply interested in sharing your knowledge with others (whether it be for pay or for free), we want to hear from you! Email tennis@CumberlandLions.ca!
The money collected from the "members" is used in the maintenance of the courts. Any funds remaining after the season ends are used to support the community, the region, and other Lions projects around the world.
